Sir Alfred Joseph Hitchcock KBE was an English director who was born on August 13th, 1899, and passed away on April 29th, 1980. Scorsese is an American film director who has won numerous awards, including the AFI Life Achievement Award in 1997, the Kennedy Centre Honour in 2007, and the BAFTA Fellowship in 2012. He has also won three Primetime Emmys, a Grammy, four BAFTAs, three Golden Globes, and two Directors Guild of America Awards. Five of his films have been deemed “culturally, historically, or artistically important” by the Library of Congress.from NYU in 1968 with an M.A. in Culture, Education, and Human Development. In the 1970s and 1980s, during the New Hollywood era, Scorsese became well-known. Scorsese’s films explore criminality, machismo, nihilism, and Catholic themes of guilt and salvation. James Francis Cameron CC, a Canadian filmmaker who was born on August 16, 1954, has produced films in many different genres. He first gained wide recognition for his work on The Terminator (1984), and he is best known for helming science fiction and epic movies. Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991), The Abyss (1989), and the action comedy True Lies (1993). He received nominations for an Academy Award for Best Film Editing for his work on Titanic and Avatar. He received nominations in the same categories for his role in the 3D film Avatar.
Cameron is a co-founder of the production companies Lightstorm Entertainment, Digital Domain, and Digital Domain Productions in addition to Earthship Productions. He also works for National Geographic as an oceanographer. He has produced a number of films on the subject, including the Academy Award-nominated Ghosts of the Abyss (2003) and Aliens of the Deep (2007). Cameron worked in the fields of remote vehicle technology, underwater filmmaking, and the digital 3D Fusion Camera System. Cameron became the first person in history to solo descend to the Mariana Trench, the deepest ocean trench, in 2012 using the Deepsea Challenger submersible.
Cameron estimates that his films have earned close to US$6 billion worldwide and about US$2 billion in North America. Avatar and Titanic, two of the most popular films of all time, have taken in a combined $2.85 billion and $2.19 billion, respectively, making them the second and third highest-grossing films. Cameron’s accomplishment of directing the first two of only five films to ever gross more than $2 billion worldwide is just one of many.
